Every girl deserves a beautiful, feminine dress even if you have nowhere to go. It just makes you feel better, it makes life better. When I’m feeling down on myself or just a little less like myself, I always love to throw on a gorgeous dress. When I discovered Maggy London, I literally fell in love. Their dresses are stunning and ultra-fem. I’d borrowed one from a friend a few years back and literally did NOT want to give it back. When I received this peplum number from them, I was in awe of how amazingly comfortable and soft it is. It is so comfy, y’all. I was so surprised.

I wore it to church and received numerous compliments. I could’ve literally worn it ALL day long. I absolutely love the black and white detail, too. You could easily interchange belts and opt for another bright color or even a black (or chic white!) You can wear literally every color jewelry with it, too which is usually hard to do with dresses. It totally reminds me of this Kelly Wearstler checkerboard print coat that I can not afford but am totally in love with.

I’ve been insanely pinning the black & white trend, hoping to recreate some of them. I think I did that here, unintentionally.

Check out the amazing dresses at Maggy London, here.

Ever since I saw Emma Stone in  this gorgeous Burberry Prorsum SS 2013 style, I’ve been crazily obsessed with blues and greens mixed together. I’m usually not one to wear something so daring, but one of my resolutions for 2013 was to step outside of my comfort zone. I mean, I’m really excited that I did, too. I actually wore this outfit last week when I went to get my highlights touched up (which turned out amazing, might I add!) and got so many compliments on it.

If the ladies weren’t complimenting me on my shoes or the color combo, they were becoming astounded by the fact that I paid $11.99 for my cobalt blue Gap pants. Seriously, $11.99 – no joke. I also bought another plaid pair that I’m obsessed with but you’ll see those later. When I realized Gap was having an EXTRA 40% off their sale racks, I had to hit up the store, especially considering that it’s a block from my home. I’d never worn anything Gap before this trip and OMG was I surprised.

They are insanely comfortable and thin enough (but not really thin) to the point that I can actually walk around the French Quarter in them when it’s 80 degrees out, which is exactly what I did. If you’ve visited New Orleans in the heat, you know what I’m talkin’ about. It’s killer, y’all. They also don’t stretch out crazy bad which makes me one happy girl.

Other color combos I’m obsessing over: pink and red / orange and yellow / yellow and emerald / black and white / all hues of purple / and even pinks and blues. I’ve been pinning about them like crazy, check that out by visiting my Pinterest here.

What is your favorite color combo right now?
